It seems that Spring has finally come to the Northeast and with it the lengthening of days and shadows as the sun rises higher in the sky everyday. For those who don't live quite so far north, it is a welcoming thing indeed to get those added hours of daylight as summer approaches. In a way, it seems to make up for the lack of lightness we live through in winter and the gray and rainy days of Spring.
Soon the fields will start flourishing, flowers will bloom and all things summer will commence, all too soon to slip away back into the dark and cold that is winter. But for now, all that is forgotten, for the promise of Spring in one of hope and warmth.
