one pitch, one swing, one strikeout, one hit, one run, one. . . baseball is a progression of *masterpiece moments. anyone who thinks the game moves slowly doesn't appreciate its essence. what else could make a group of 11-12 year-olds stop and focus as a single entity, you know, besides video games or a pretty girl? the magic often gets lost in the big leagues (outside of key rivalry games, playoffs, etc.), but little league.... it's always on the line, always big. go watch a little league game today if you can, and pay attention to the kids (please ignore the parents). it is salve for the jaded soul.
