Located next to the Coast Guard Base, at Fort Constitution, it guides ships to the Piscataqua River. Located in beautiful New Castle (which originally was part of Portsmouth). The first lighthouse built here was in 1771, part of the original Colonial Lighthouses. This light pictured here was complete in 1876.
