The King Pumpkin at the top of this Grand rack - it has Keene NH carved on it's face. This racks represents some of the 24,682 carved and illuminated pumpkins at the 2006 Keene Pumpkin Festival, where some 80,000 people attended from 10AM to 11pm or so. There were four main racks, this being the largest in the Town Centre. Pumpkins were on smaller racks and along sidewalks, and on every surface.
Boston took honors this year with 30,128 carved pumpkins, beating Keene's 2003 record of 28,952.
