When you see a photo of a soldier look pastt the uniform and see the man, look at the name, and remember that we are not just statistics, we are not murderers, WE are your sons daughters, fathers, cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts uncles. Look past the headline past the flashy uniform, past the gun, and see the person.
While this photo was obviously not taken in New Hampshire or depicts anything New Hampshire, it is just as much a part of us all. This photo was taken by one of New Hampshire's own young men sent off to a far away place, to do other's bidding. Even though Spencer is far from home, he is still in our hearts and is part of our lives. Please visit Spencer's work, he is an incredible photographer documenting his life in Iraq in an everyday, observant manner.
Take Care Spencer!
