High Hopes -- Rained Upon
I was real excited about combining three loves today and all were washed away.
I had hoped t go to the NH High Hopes Family Fun Festival complete with hot air ballooon launches and the 10th Annual All-British "Show of Dreams" Car Show with the intent of participating and fining lots of great things to photograph.
Well...it's all a wash today as the big event of the day is rain. I think I'll just do laundry.

Madame Senator?
One thing that people of New Hampshire take very seriously is their politics. So seriously, in fact, that they enjoy having fun with it. In many ways, NH is the last of the remants of the kind of government that made our country great. Town meetings are still very open and accessible and highly attended.

Mill in Dover, NH
New Hampshire's rivers are lined with fabulous mill buildings left over from the Industrial Revolution and the textile industry that was birthed in the area. These mills were made so soundly that it would cost more to take these buildings down than to restore them. Thus many of these mills have been converted to condominiums, office spaces and retail locations.
They also beg to be photographed...especially at night.
Indian Head Resort
Fall in New Hampshire -- a little slice of Heaven on earth. How peaceful the mountains as you sit and watch the mornings' fog rise, echoed in the stillness of the water below.
Door Detail
New Hampshire is a place where the weather is oft changing. These changes keep life interesting while adding texture and colour to your life.

Autumn begins unnoticed ...
Autumn begins unnoticed. Nights slowly lengthen,

Monarch
The skies of NH are filled with monarch butterflies in the late summer. This is only a small part of their great migratory pattern. Their travels are amazing as is watching them fly about our backyards and fields.

Nothing Says NH Like "Cow Pie Bingo"!
Hudson, NH, where the high school, Alvirne, actually has its own cows who's lucious aroma oft fills the hallways, is the only town that I have seen that gets a kick out of where the cows will drop their...well, dropping. You can even put money on it! Who would have thought?
